Fermat Last Theorem

Work

Spent the first 5 hours of my day from 8AM- 1PM on work. Worked on a new feature after I scoped out the technical part of this feature during the weekend and just focused on the implementation and testing; using Copilot was a huge productivity gain, and this meant I was able to get a PR with the feature ready by mid-day.

Fermat's Last Theorem appears to be one of the most popular problems in modern mathematics alongside Pythagoras theorem which appeared quite similar to Fermat Last theorem reading up on this.

Fermat Last Theorem as it called, was "last" because it appeared to be one of Fermat's last results to be proved. The theorem was found as appendix in the copy of the book Diophantus Arithmetic which was published by his son Samuel five years after his death in 1665.

In plain words, the last theorem states that for a number nn in the equation

znz^n == xnx^n ++ yny^n

it is impossible for a cube to be the sum of two cubes or the fourth powers can not be written as the sum of two fourth powers i.e they're are no whole numbers solutions for where n is greater than two in the above equation.

Day 59 on Duolingo. Genuinely not spending enough time doing mental math lessons. I'll rather spend ample time than keep streaks. The goal will be to commit to at least 15 mins of daily lessons.

Note: I'm mostly writing this logs at night and the excuse is i don't have time to go over my drafts to make it perfect. So my approach would be to write at night and publish in the morning after reviewing, in order to get better at writing to the point of developing a style.
